United Nations Human Rights Council voted on a resolution calling for a ban on arms sales to #Israel🇮🇱.

United Nations Human Rights Council voted on a resolution calling for a ban on arms sales to #Israel🇮🇱.

International Human Rights Commission-IHRC in consultative status with ECOSOC ensures with our partners to lobby at UN Human Rights Council to pass this resolution, and we got success once again. IHRCRFT was represented by Ms. Fidencie Izabayo, Deputy Representative at UNHRC under the direction and on behalf of IHRC Chief.

@UN_HRC adopted this morning a resolution to ban arms exports to the Zionist State with a majority of 28 votes and the objection of 6 countries.

The countries that opposed the Human Rights Council’s decision are the two largest arms exporters to #Israel, the United States and Germany, as well as Paraguay, Malawi, Bulgaria, and Argentina.

In addition, the Human Rights Council voted by a majority of 28-6 in favour of a resolution calling for the accountability of “israel” for possible war crimes in #Gaza🇵🇸.

Canada and Wallonia in Belgium are some regions that have already cut exports to the Zionist State since October 7th.

While these resolutions are non-binding, they signal the growing isolation of #Israel at all levels, at a time when even its past allies are abandoning it.

The full text of 5 resolutions is available and shared for the respective IHRC officials.
